School Step-Up Instrument Showings

Manning Music has provided step-up band instrument showings to schools in northeast Kansas for almost a decade. They are a great opportunity for students to try a variety of intermediate and professional-level instruments while in a comfortable setting and playing familiar music.

Step-up instrument shows may be scheduled by your band director and usually are held on a Monday or Friday. Members of our staff will go over proper handling and care of the instruments and will be available for questions from students and parents.

Manning Music carries instruments from Bach, Yamaha, Conn, Selmer, King, Pearl flutes, Armstrong, Yanagisawa, Stephanhouser and Benge as well as a number of used instruments. Particular step-up instruments will vary but you may request that we bring a certain horn or horns.

If your child is not part of a school music program and wishes to try a step-up instrument, you are welcome to stop by the store any time. Instruments also may be checked out on a trial basis by an adult with proper identification and credit information.
