Terry Warburton made his first trumpet mouthpiece almost 30 years ago on a lathe in the corner of his small apartment. Today, Warburton Music Products is one of the largest independent mouthpiece makers in the world, but Terry Warburton hasn't forgotten where it all came from.

So when the low brass professor at Washburn University in Topeka wanted to try Warburton's new tuba mouthpieces, Terry hopped in his car and made the trek several days from southern Florida to Kansas. While here, Terry stopped by Warburton dealer Manning Music and his old friend, Manning repair tech Don Dabney.
